Formed U-Trough / Round Bottom Liners
Benefits
- High abrasion resistant material extends the life of drive systems
- Low coefficient of friction reduces material hang-up, providing better cleanout and less waste of conveyed product
- Saves energy as it requires less power to convey
- Economically sound in equipment cost replacement and preventing loss of produce
- U-trough liners outlast steel many times longer; 1/3 the weight of steel
- Formed using 2-dimensional heat forming methods
Materials
- UHMW Natural (FDA & USDA Approved – Food Grade)
- UHMW Black Repro
- TIVAR 88
- Polystone MPG (FDA & USDA Approved – Food Grade)
- Urethane or Impact Rubber where deemed necessary
Sizes
- Standard thicknesses are 3/16”, ¼” and 3/8”
- Additional thicknesses of ½”, 5/8” ¾” and 1” are available
- All U-trough liners come pre-drilled for 5/16” elevator bolts (14 holes for 4 foot length, at 7 per side, starting 1-1/2” down from the top and 1-1/2” in from the ends; holes may be drilled in full or partial coverage as customer requires 45° Beveled ends to minimize effects of expansion and contraction of liner material
- Available in 4 foot to 10 foot lengths
- 4 foot lengths provide the best yield, providing cost effectiveness; lower freight rates as they can ship by courier instead of truck
- 4 foot lengths provide ease of installation; as well as less expansion and contraction between sections
